Creative tech is a growing sub-sector of creative industries. In creative tech, a creative element (such as the use of design or audio-visual material) is the key component which is facilitated by the technical component in achieving the final desired output.
If you are developing a creative technology business then you may wish to apply for the Collider Accelerator Program, delivered by QUT Creative Enterprise Australia. Collider Accelerator is a three month Program based in Brisbane, Australia which commences on 29 April 2019.
Benefits of the Program
The Program supports creative tech startup founders to set and exceed their growth goals. Founders will be coached and mentored by industry-leaders and specialists from around the world. Each week has a specific topic of focus: a combination of masterclasses, workshops, one-on-one mentor sessions as well as a range of industry events will provide participants with the tools they need to fast-track their startup.
The Program culminates in a Demo Day where founders will pitch to an esteemed panel of judges and an audience of industry partners, customers, investors and supporters of the startup ecosystem.
Eligibility
Applications are now open. To be eligible for the Program, founders must demonstrate how their startup fits within creative tech. Collider Accelerator is best suited for startups that have at minimum a working prototype.
As part of Collider Accelerator, companies receive pre-seed investment of $30,000 in exchange for 4% equity. The process to receive an offer for a place in Collider is competitive and there is a limit of 10 participating companies per cohort.
This is an intensive program, however, there is no formal commitment until the selection bootcamp. Applications close 3 March 2019.
