Biography

Rosemary has an extensive scientific research background covering areas such as genetics, molecular and cell biology, cancer biology and genomics. She has attended many national and international conferences, and presented her work to a range of audiences. Rosemary graduated from The University of Otago in New Zealand, with a BSc (Hons) majoring in Biochemistry and Genetics. She then went on to complete a PhD in Genetics and Cell Biology from the Australian National University. Rosemary’s PhD involved identifying genes and novel signalling pathways involved in regulating cell differentiation and motility, to further understand the genetics behind tumour progression. After completing her PhD she then worked as a postdoctoral scientist in the Genetics Department at the University of Melbourne continuing on with the work she established during her PhD.
