With over 12 years of experience in the intellectual property profession, Jeremy partners with universities, advanced technology companies, and innovative businesses to strategically build and secure their IP portfolios. He combines a strong academic background in electrical engineering and mathematics with practical field experience across power, software, and control engineering. Driven by a sharp analytical mind, Jeremy enjoys solving complex problems like a puzzle to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients.
Going beyond simply securing a patent, Jeremy focuses on delivering strategic commercial outcomes. His broad technical expertise spans the electrical, electronic, and IT sectors, with specialized experience in AI, medtech (including Software as a Medical Device and complex hardware-software integrations), and advanced defence technologies such as directed energy weapons, communications and drone technology. Trusted by international clients, Jeremy leverages this expertise to advise on complex transactional matters, supporting businesses through strategic acquisitions and the integration of new IP portfolios.
Alongside his extensive patent practice, Jeremy possesses deep expertise in formulating and filing registered designs in Australia. His commercial pragmatism and focused expertise in this area have led him to represent one of the country’s top five filers of locally originating designs.
Jeremy’s consistent excellence in Australian prosecution is widely recognized, having earned him recognition in the IAM Patent 1000 for both 2025 and 2026.
