A key aspect of Hamid’s role is evaluating the commercial potential of the innovations brought to him, and he thrives on delving into the intricate details of how an invention functions, using his IP knowledge to ensure it is thoroughly protected. Hamid has also worked to protect the visual appearance of clients’ products through registered design protection, including formulating and prosecuting extensive local and overseas design portfolios.

Prior to joining MBIP, Hamid worked at a New Zealand IP firm in their engineering and ICT team, and then moved to a role at a large full service law firm in Australia, where he often assisted with contentious IP work.

Hamid has assisted a wide range of clients seeking to take their technologies global, including multinationals and SME’s. Hamid is also an avid start-up enthusiast and is passionate about advancing technologies in that space.
